7days client Morrisons achieved another retail coup recently, when they were visited by Prime Minister Gordon Brown, to support the launch of The Morrisons Fresh Food Academy. The initiative, which the Prime Minister described as the largest training programme of its kind in the country, will see 20,000 Retail staff trained to QCF - formerly known as NVQ - Level 2 standard.

7days have been involved in the development of the communications which Morrisons are using to engage 800+ Senior leaders and over 100,000 store colleagues as they roll out the Morrisons Fresh Food Academy from early 2010.

We worked with Morrisons to develop the suite of materials with which they will engage their leaders during this critical launch, this included;

A Talent Guide - which explains their philosophy on how to achieve long term sustainability          by bringing the best out of their people

A DVD - which shows real-life success stories of how they develop their people from 'shop         floor to top floor'

A Manager Guide - which explains simply, yet in detail, everything retail managers need to         do to support their staff in order to help them achieve their qualifications

Since Morrisons started working with 7days, initially on the rollout of their Vision and Values, then through he implementation of 'Gimme 5' team briefings and now the Fresh Food Academy, Morrisons attrition rates have fallen from high for the sector to now lead the industry.
